Magic Cabin’s Folding Trampoline and $50 GC giveaway

Magic Cabin, started in 1989, believes one simple thing: children’s lives are enriched by open-ended, creative, and imaginative play. I couldn’t agree more! They have a huge selection of quality toys that really encourage a child’s imagination and there are a million things I’d love to get for Ryan.

Here are some of my favorites:

That hanging chair pictured at the bottom middle? MUST HAVE. Ryan loves books and he loves having his own chairs–I know he’d adore that. But also? *I* want it. For me. I mean, it does hold up to 175 pounds, which means I totally could get it–for me. :)

For our review, we were sent the Folding Trampoline. Ryan just has been taking a tumbling class for the past could of months and I’ve watched him get better and better at jumping and gaining confidence. He loves the trampolines!

Steve set it up on Christmas Eve after Ryan went to bed so it was a great surprise on Christmas morning from Santa! And yes, that’s a picture of my husband actually reading the directions :) It didn’t take very long to put together and was pretty easy, but the task of threading the blue elastic through definitely requires two people. You have to pull it really tight as you go so you need one person to hold it taught while the other person threads it through the holes.

And the result? SO MUCH FUN!

Okay, he did hit his chin/face on that bar within the first minute of using it, but thankfully it has a nice pad on it and he was mostly just surprised, lol (and not at all hurt). He continued right on jumping (and hasn’t hit his face since)!

It has a heavy duty mesh nylon trampoline and it’s safe because it’s slip-proof–the padded covers keep feet from sliding into the holes around the edges. Awesome features: it’s all waterproof so you can use it inside or outside! and it folds up for easy storage.

And why does mama love it? Besides for watching my son have so much fun… it’s a great way for him to release some of that crazy toddler energy! Which means a better night of sleep for everyone :)

It’s a 33 3/4″ square, is 32 1/4″ high, and is 11″ from the floor to the trampoline mat. Recommended for ages 3 and up, it holds up to 60 pounds. This trampoline is a $99 value, but you can buy it from Magic Cabin for $79.98!

FYI: you can create a Magic Cabin wishlist, a baby or gift registry, and get up to 60% off in their clearance section!

Richard Scarry’s Busytown Playset giveaway

I can’t even tell you how much I loved the Richard Scarry books when I was a kid! I remember having an activity book with peel-and-stick pieces for all the characters and parts of Busytown–I’d play with it for hours. They’ve been around since the 1960s, have over 300 titles and have sold over 150 million books. Richard Scarry is one of the best selling children’s authors of all time!

And now, lucky for Ryan, they have so much more fun stuff! For our review, we were sent the Busytown Town Hall Deluxe Playset. This fun set comes with a DVD and encourages social interaction between kids as they play and explore in their own little Busytown world!

I was so excited when we received this because *I* wanted to play with it, haha. It brought back a lot of memories from when I was little! I’m happy to be able to pass on this fun and educational brand to Ryan.

The playset has a drive-through tunnel, a fold-up ladder, 12 track pieces, a Sergeant Murphy figure, Hilda Hippo in her pencil car, and a DVD with 2 episodes. The picture below has this Town Hall playset, but also other extra pieces to make a full set.

Ryan is totally in to cars and trains right now so this is perfect, he loves it. And I love that it can connect to other sets and to most wooden train track systems! At two-years-old, Ryan plays with this thing forever, but there are still parts he doesn’t really get/use–like the inside of the building–so this is a toy that will last for years. It’s quality and is definitely durable, too, so I know it will last. I want to get more pieces to add to this set!

The Town Hall Playset is suggested for ages 3+ and sells for $39.99.

GIVEAWAY: one lucky winner will get the Busytown Town Hall Deluxe Playset with DVD! Please use the form below to enter. Open to residents in the US only, giveaway courtesy of Cookie Jar Entertainment.

Toys, toys, toys… everywhere!

Ryan is at the perfect age to love to play with all his toys and then leave them ALL over the house. If I pick them up in the middle of the day, he gets them right back out again–especially if he’s watching me put them away, haha. SO, we’ve tried to set up some things . . . → Read More: Toys, toys, toys… everywhere!

Tiny Tillia review

Tiny Tillia is sooo cute! They have products for infants up to 2-years-old–affordable (and adorable!) clothes, accessories, decor, bath items, diaper bags, skincare, blankets and more. I love all their stuff!

They started in 2006 by London-born designer Tiffany Lerman (daughter of the famous author Jackie Collins!) and are now expanding with Avon Products, Inc!

I love that you can create a baby registry on their website–so handy–and they’re involved in a number of philanthropy projects. There’s also a page of special offers that has cute gift sets at promo prices.

Melissa and Doug Play Kitchen from Gummy Lump review

I found Gummy Lump one day when I was searching for great wooden toy values online. The site specializes in high quality, unique wooden toys for children ages 0 to 6 years of age. Although electronic toys do play their role in our household, I prefer wooden toys. I feel like wooden toys are less distracting and . . . → Read More: Melissa and Doug Play Kitchen from Gummy Lump review
