According to the American Association of Poison Control Centers “every 7 minutes a child in America is taken to an emergency room for poisoning from household cleaning products” and the Environmental Working Group suggests that the average number of chemicals and pollutants found in a newborn’s cord blood is 200. Those are some pretty staggering numbers and it stands to reason that some of those chemicals could come from our household cleaners and odor control methods.
