Last year I wrote a review of the Fresh Baby starter kit that came with food trays, a how-to DVD and a baby food cookbook. It was great for Ryan and gave me a lot of ideas and tips for making his own food. Now, we’ve moved onto the toddler stuff!
Fresh Baby was started in 2002 by two sisters who wanted healthy and hassle-free feeding alternatives. They’ve made the process of making food easy–AND it’s healthy. I’m so glad they make products from baby to toddler so Ryan can grow with them!
This time, we were sent the Toddler cookbook and divided food plate. The portion plate has 3 sections that are the appropriate size for (1) fruits and veggies, (2) proteins (meats, eggs, fish and beans) and (3) grains (whole grain, bread, pasta & brown rice). You can even get it in Spanish if you’d like! The plate is lead, BPA and phthalate-free.
I love using it to feed Ryan his meals and Ryan likes using it to practice sorting his play foods, haha.
The toddler cookbook is awesome. It’s48-pages of simple recipes that are great for Ryan. When I need a new (healthy) snack or meal idea for Ryan, I check out this book. I hate cookbooks that have recipes so obscure, you’d have to go to the store before making anything. But this one is simple and easy and stuff Ryan enjoys. Here’s an example below of a pizza recipe and avocado & orange salad–yum!

Munchkin is another one of the brands that has become a household name–one you know and love and one that absolutely belongs on your Baby Shower Registry!
You can search their products by developmental phase or by category and they have SO many great things to choose from! Our house is filled with Munchkin products. By far, our absolute favorite thing is the Snack Catcher. Seriously a must-have. We fill it up with snacks and Ryan carriers it around the house, in the car, around the store while we’re getting errands done–it’s perfect!
The top is designed so things don’t easily spill when your toddler drops it, throws it or shakes it! We also used their Fresh Food Feeder when Ryan was younger. Those things are great for teething, too.
Another item we received at one of our baby showers was the Diaper Bag Dispenser–it’s filled with little diaper bags that are scented and the perfect size for holding dirty diapers while you’re out and about. The dispenser clips on to your bag, too. LOVE THEM.
We have a number of their toys and teethers too. So when Munchkin joined us for the Baby Shower Gift Guide event, I was really excited! We received: Soft Tip Infant Spoons (6-pack), White Hot safety spoons (4-pack), 2 of the Snack Catcher bowls (mentioned above) and a bottle brush.
The White Hot Safety Spoons are awesome. The picture above shows how they work… if the food is too hot for your lil one (over 110), the spoons turn white! And the bottle brush is really handy with a suction bottom so it stands straight up–keeps it clean while bottle cleaning! The bottom of the handle also comes off and is a nipple brush! So it’s like a two-in-one deal.
