Ohhh how I wish I took advantage of this service when I was in college!!! Those textbooks you have to buy every semester add up extremely fast and are super expensive. I’d spend hundreds and hundreds each semester… I even had a special credit card that was JUST for my books. And then what? I got . . . → Read More: saving money on textbooks

I See Me personalized book and placemat giveaway

I first learned about the adorable personalized children’s books from  I See Me when we received the book “My Very Own Name” as a gift after Ryan was born. It is one of Ryan’s all-time favorite books and I swear it helped him learn his letters and recognize his name! We have read it 52 hundred times, I’m sure.

When Rebecca was born, we bought the book “The Super, Incredible Big Brother” for Ryan. I adore the book and I know it makes Ryan proud–it even comes with a little “medal” your child can wear around their neck!

For this review, I was sent some gifts for our Easter baskets. First, we got the book “Who Loves Me?” You can personalize it for siblings so we did “Who Loves Ryan and Rebecca?”

Yep, this book is my favorite. Maybe because I’m in it ;) You can add the names of 6 people (or groups of people) that love your child(ren) and it makes the book soooo special. I did: mommy, daddy, gammy and papa, gam gam and papa Kurt, aunts and uncles, and cousins. Ryan knows exactly who we’re talking about and gets to hear over and over (because he makes me read it over and over, lol) about all the people that love him :) When the book is over he says, “and I love you! to the moon and back!”

I was also sent two of their new personalized place mats. They have super cute ones and I chose the two below:

I added them to the Easter baskets and it was so cute! Ryan had a previous place mat with the alphabet on it, but he LOVES anything personalized with his name so now he insists on this one. He points out his name (and spells it) and then identifies all the fun stuff: the kids, the cars, the trees and birds, etc. It keeps him busy while mama and daddy are cooking :)

I See Me has many more books to choose from, multiple place mat options, and some gift sets and puzzles. I’m a huge fan and will definitely be back. I think their products make GREAT memorable gifts for new parents!

I just learned on their website that they have an iPad app for the “My Very Own Name” book! Ryan would LOVE that! Buy it for $4.99 and get $5 off your next purchase at I See Me!

GIVEAWAY: one lucky reader will win their own copy of the book “Who Loves Me?” and their choice of placemat! All, of course, personalized as they’d like :) Please use the form below to enter–none of the entry options are mandatory (meaning you can do as many or as few as you’d like). Good luck!

I Believe In You giveaway

Not too long ago I posted a review of The Night Night Book. I’m happy to be back with the same author, Marianne Richmond, and her new book “I Believe In You.”

I love love love this book; it’s so sweet. It’s about a parent that supports and backs up their child through everything. Maybe it’s my crazy pregnancy hormones or maybe it’s just how wonderful this book is, but reading it to Ryan makes me teary! I think it’s so important to show a child that they’re trusted and loved and supported no matter what… a way to say “I believe in you!”

This book takes very typical situations that a child may have to deal with–being scared of monsters, not getting picked to be on the team at school, hard work–and helps support the child through it.

I want you to remember,
I’m here to watch the ride.
I believe in one amazing you,
with all my love and pride.

You can buy this book on Amazon for $10.87 or you can try to win a copy here! Please use the form below to enter.
