Noodle & Boo was created by a wonderful mama of 3 who wanted safe products for children’s sensitive skin. She worked with holistic skincare professionals to develop the line of products that are designed to nourish, replenish, and protect… especially for delicate skin!
Using natural and safe products has become extremely important to us since having kids so we’re always on the hunt for new favorites. I love companies like Noodle & Boo–mom created to fill a need! Their products are hypoallergenic, clinically-tested, as well as dermatologist- and pediatrician-tested!
For my review, I was sent a wonderful selection of items for our children (2 year old son and 2 month old baby girl). First, the Play-Day Sunscreen (SPF 30). Sunscreen is sooo important and it’s so hard to find ones that are SAFE for you! Your skin is your largest organ and the entrance into your body… you better be watching what you put on it!
This stuff is light, isn’t at all greasy, and has aloe and vitamin E–I love it. It goes on so easily and quickly–which is important when your toddler is trying his best to run away from you and play! Haha. Plus, it’s water resistant and provides UVA and UVB protection. It’s SPF-30, which is perfect. You don’t need higher than that or you’re just adding unnecessary chemicals to your skin.
Next, I reviewed the Newborn 2-in-1 Hair & Body Wash. I looove 2-in-1 products… I don’t think you need separate soaps for babies hair and body and this just makes the process easier.
A lot of soaps can be over-drying for a baby’s sensitive skin. The Noodle & Boo hair and body wash is moisturizing and works to condition skin and hair. It’s soap-free and that means… tearless! Ryan went through a phase of HATING having his hair washed because he got soap in his eyes once. He wouldn’t let me anywhere near his head after that… until I could show him THIS hair wash that was gentle and didn’t hurt his eyes. Now he washes his own hair
Finally, I was sent the Bouncing Baby Bubbles. For awhile it was hard to get Ryan to want to take a bath–he always wanted to shower with us. Then we introduced BUBBLES! And he looooves his bubble baths.

This stuff is great because it has light moisturizers to leave skin baby soft and the bubble formula is mild to minimize risk of an allergic reaction. That’s really important because bubble baths can be especially irritating to little ones with sensitive skin! And they don’t want to miss out on the fun of bubbles!
Ryan says, “Thank you, Noodle & Boo!”

Omyst is your entire first-aid kid in one bottle AND it’s all-natural. My favorite kind of product! Especially when it’s being used on my child! And we all know how often toddlers and kids get bumps, scrapes, and bruises! Omyst is great for all of those occurrences, plus cuts, scratches, minor burns, insect bites, stings, sutures, and rashes.

Omyst is the first patented organic first-aid spray and the nice little bottle is the perfect size to keep in your purse or diaper bag. It works better and faster than other traditional first-aid treatments because the spray dries quickly, allowing the wound to breathe–and you don’t have to deal with a big sticky mess.
It has only a few natural ingredients: calendula (reduces inflammation), yarrow (kills bacteria), plantain (kills germs, helps stop bleeding), wild roses (help rejuvenate and soothe), and alcohol.
I’ve used this stuff a few times so far and what I like most is how handy it is–it’s easy to use and quick to just spray on. My 2-year-old is always on the move and he doesn’t always like sticky creams rubbed on. But a spray? I can spray it while he’s running away from me (haha) and he doesn’t even realize. And no worries about how much you use it because it’s all-natural!
I’ve used it on myself, too. I touched a hot pan from the oven while baking and this stuff was great because it definitely has a cooling effect or feeling when you spray it on.
Omyst was created by a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Herbalist with over twenty five years of experience. You can find Omyst at a local store or buy it online for $20.

Waxelene is a perfect petroleum jelly alternative: it’s all-natural (my favorite product feature). It contains no petroleum and has only natural and organic ingredients… actually, to be exact, only FOUR ingredients: organic soy oil, beeswax, natural vitamin E oil, and organic rosemary oil.

Waxelene comes in glass jars that can be recycled–no plastic! And they’re cute with the little bees flying around the labels. What can you use this stuff for? Anything you’d use petroleum jelly (or vaseline) for! Use it on your skin for moisture, protection or lubrication, add it to your hair, put it on after being in the sun, make it a safe aftershave, add shine to your lips, use on your baby’s bum to reduce irritation…. and SO much more!

But now for the test…. how does it compare to petroleum jelly? Will I like it? Ummm…. I LOVE IT. If you’re a normal blog reader of mine, you know by now that our family loves all-natural products and we try to buy them whenever possible. Products that go on your skin (and therefore enter your body)? MOST IMPORTANT. Especially when used on our child’s body!

First, this stuff has a lovely scent. It’s kind of like… honey… and wheat… and all-natural. I could eat it.
(Side note – I just had to get up and go get a jar to put on my lips, just because I was thinking about it. For real.)
I keep the small 2oz jar in my diaper bag and another in my purse. The larger 9oz jar is on Ryan’s changing table–this stuff is awesome for his skin, too. If his bottom is getting a little red from a diaper, on goes the Waxelene. Dry hands in winter? Waxelene. Chapped lips? Waxelene. Annoying cuticles? Waxelene. Foot rub?! Waxelene! Get the point?

More positives: it’s really smooth and a little more greasy/thin (compared to petroleum jelly), but this means a little bit goes a loooong way. I barely touch the stuff when I use it on my lips. A tiny bit more? Covers my hands. And: no GMOs, biodegradable, water/sweat resistant, goes on clear, and is not tested on animals.
Sold yet? These jars would make great gifts! Cute in a gift basket for a new mom or new baby, too! Buy the 2oz jar for $6.99 or the 9oz jar for $15.99. Sold in over 150 retail stores!
GIVEAWAY: win a gift set of Waxelene jars! You could give some as gifts or, you know, keep them all for yourself! Please use the form below to enter.

Maty’s Healthy Products were created by a mom on a mission. Her daughter was born with severe heart defects and no spleen. After multiple surgeries by age 5, her heart was better, but she had a weak immune system that left her vulnerable.
This mama started to research–a LOT–about what natural remedies would be best for her daughter. These traditional remedies have now become Maty’s Healthy Products and I’m so glad this company was started so she could share her findings with the rest of us!

Little ones are extra sensitive to what goes into and on their bodies, we need to be extra cautious and aware of the products we are using! I really hate to use anything that’s not all-natural on our son. I can sleep easy (and so can he!) knowing that he’s safe.
These products came at the perfect time because Ryan has had a runny nose and cough forever! The doctor said to just let it pass, but we want to try to make Ryan as comfortable as possible–especially at night–so we’ve been using the all-natural baby chest rub and cough syrup.
*All-Natural Baby Chest Rub: with eucalyptus, lavender, and chamomile. Boosts immune function while calming and soothing your lil babe. Petroleum and menthol-free! For babies 3 months and up.
*All-Natural Kids Cough Syrup: banana-caramel taste. Food based with no harmful side effects. This has antioxidant rich buckwheat honey and 9 all-natural immune/support ingredients.
*Breathe Better Nasal Ointment: clears the nasal passage for healthy breathing at nighttime. Drug free and safe for all ages.
*All-Natural Vapor Rub: with eucalyptus, wintergreen, and peppermint. Boosts immune function and vapors help open and clear. Petroleum free and safe for age 2 years and up.
*All-Natural Cough Syrup: like the Kids cough syrup (without the banana-caramel taste)
I remember taking liquid meds as a kid and I HATED them. I’ve tried some on Ryan and he also runs screaming. But this stuff? I’m completely honest when I say that after Ryan had it for the first time he said…. “MORE!” And he takes it like a champ.
Then I got sick from Ryan and was so happy to have the cough syrup and vapor rub (yumm, my favorite stuff), but most of all, the breathe better ointment. The worst, especially when trying to sleep, is having a stuffy nose and having to try to breathe through your mouth. Then you wake up with cracked lips and a sore throat. But this stuff helped clear me up so I could sleep in peace.
Maty’s Healthy Products are available at many stores, find one near you! You can also buy online at Amazon.
