If you’ve never heard of Tegu, get ready to be excited. I love their products! And, they have an awesome story. Tegu was created to address the issues of unemployment, under-utilized natural and human resources, and the need for entrepreneurship in the country of Honduras.
Tegu products really spark creativity and imagination for kids of all ages. Our son is 2-years-old and it has been so amazing to watch him really get into imaginative play recently… talking to himself, creating stories, learning how to use and manipulate objects…
…and now we have some Tegu toys to help! You might know them for their magnetic wooden block sets.

Recently, Tegu came out with a new product line called Mobility. They took the classical and loved idea behind the wooden magnetic blocks and basically added wheels! Ryan LOVES cars, truck, tractors… anything with wheels. He also loves taking things apart and putting them back together–so I knew this would be a huge hit in our house!

They have 4 different cars to choose from (clockwise from top left): Maddy Micro, Riley Roadster, Dart, and Hatch. Dart and Hatch are made of 10 wooden magnetic pieces with a styling top and 4 wheels, whereas Maddy and Riley are more simple with 1 silhouette piece and 4 wheels.
For our review, we were sent some block pieces and the Riley Roadster.

The wheels just kind of snap simply on and off and the car moves very easily. Suggested ages are 3 to 99 years… our son is 2 and loves Tegu products, but the recommended age starts at 3 because of the danger of swallowing magnets–so just make sure you keep an eye out! And up to age 99? Absolutely. You can build and create anything with Tegu blocks, I love playing along with Ryan!
You can get your own Riley Roadster for $22 or check out all their other products! Show the love and find them on twitter and facebook, too!

I love love love Bravado Designs. They’re my favorite for maternity and nursing bras and tanks… I own quite a few! I have some of their tanks and I’ve tried their Bliss Nursing Bra, Sublime Nursing Bra, and Allure Nursing Bra.

With baby #2 on the way (due in 2 weeks!), I wanted to make sure I was stocked and ready. My favorite Bravado nursing bra is the Bliss and I’d love a few more of those. But I remember the early nursing days following birth… you just want to be comfortable! A bra that’s easy to nurse in, a bra that’s easy to live in, and a bra that’s easy to sleep in.
Introducing….. the Body Silk Seamless Nursing Bra!

Forget the early nursing days, I am in love with this bra right now! You just want to be comfortable during pregnancy, too–especially near the end! I seriously live in this thing. Get this: I am motivated to do laundry so that I can wear this bra again. For real.

The Bravado website says the “Body Silk Seamless Nursing Bra melts onto your body and gives you comfort unlike anything you’ve experienced from a nursing bra before.” Yes. True.
It’s stretchy and it’s seamless. It’s comfy and looks great under clothes. It has removable foam cups that offer just enough thickness/protection, without adding too much padding (lord knows pregnant and nursing moms don’t need any more padding, lol).

This bra has clips at the shoulder that are really easy to operate with one hand (that’s important to me! Nursing bras must be quick and easy!) and the cup folds down completely for full access. When closed, the clips lie flat under your clothes.
Another thing I love about this bra is the sizing. It’s not your typical band and cup size… it comes in small, medium, large, and extra-large. I feel like that allows you to get a better fit that’s comfortable for your many phases of pregnancy and nursing sizes.

Pre-pregnancy I was a 34C. During pregnancy, I’m up to something around the 36-38 D range. During nursing (with Ryan, last time), I went quickly back to my 34 band size, but stayed up at a D/DD cup size… so based on their sizing chart, I thought I’d be pretty safe with a medium. And yes, it’s perfect. It’s stretchy and sometimes I don’t even unclasp the back, I put it on and off over my head, like a sports bra.
Bravado now includes a Bra Conversion Kit with your purchase (of select bras, including this one). It can be used to convert your maternity/nursing bra to a “regular bra” whenever you’re ready by allowing you to remove the clips. AWESOME. More bang for your buck!
The Body Silk Seamless bra comes in Black, Butterscotch, Ivory, Pink Ice, Teal Blue, and Poppy (pictured above).

When you decide to have a baby it’s never too early to start thinking about how you are going to build a kid’s room and what you are going to buy for furniture. There are a few different factors to consider in regards to building a children’s room so make sure to give it some thought. Here are the main points you should keep in mind.
Safety needs to be top priority. I know that we all want to make the cutest and best looking kid’s room we can but we can’t ever lose sight of this most important factor. Is the furniture you are buying safe for your child? Just because they are bunk beds for kids does not mean that they are safe for a toddler. Of course, if you have a newborn you are not going to be thinking about bunk beds for kids for quite some time. Cribs are the star of this life stage. Whatever your sleeping needs, make use of the internet and customer reviews to make sure that what you are buying is safe and appropriate for your child and their age group.
To save some money, as your family if they have anything in storage that they might want to part with. You’ll be surprised how many people have useful items that they don’t even remember tucked away someplace that they will be happy to clear out. Visit swap meet and look into online communities. You aren’t going to get everything for free but, with these different ideas, you’ll get a lot of things for much cheaper than you anticipated and you’ll know that those bunk beds for kids have a good track record.
Don’t be afraid to ask questions. Whether you are in a big chain store or you’re taking a hand-me-down from a relative, ask the important questions. The big three are the safety of materials, safety of design and age appropriateness. It’s always better to be informed.

Awhile ago I posted about Ryan’s super adorable new big boy bedding set from Beyond Bedding. We still adore the Jungle Time set and Ryan loves it, too!
So it only made sense to stick with a company we trust and enjoy for our new baby girl bedding! We got her room painted, we got a new crib, and I had this whole idea of what I wanted her room to look like… gray walls, all white furniture, all pink accessories.
All that was missing? The crib bedding! I wanted something classic, girly, and cute. Something kind of simple. So of course I fell in love with the Pink and White French Toile set from Beyond Bedding!

Adorable, right? I got the 9-piece set that includes the: crib comforter, bumper, fitted crib sheet, two window valances, crib skirt, diaper stacker, toy bag, and decorative pillow. There are a lot more matching accessories you can buy for this set too: the mobile, window panels, changing pad cover, bulletin board, wall border, wall hangings, hamper, lamp shade, shower curtain, and more crib sheets. I would love to have some of those extras, especially the bulletin board and changing pad cover!

Isn’t she pretty?! Please don’t mind my wrinkled crib skirt, haha. I was too anxious to see it all set up so I didn’t wash it first… but I will before the baby gets here! Also, I need to note here that when our baby is actually sleeping in the crib, we will be removing the bumper. However, when she’s not in it, I love the bumper, it’s beautiful! It’s two sided–one side has the pink and white toile and the other side has amazingly soft and fluffy white chenille. It has cute ties on the top and bottom:

The comforter has the toile in the center with the gingham and piping around the edge and 4 satin bows in the corners. This also reverses like the bumper and has a white chenille back that I absolutely love. It’s fluffy and it’s beautiful–it’s a classic look. The decorative pillow matches this as well and the crib sheet that comes with this set is just a plain white.
I had no mattress yet at the time I took these pictures!
Our baby girl’s room only has one window so at first I only hung one of the two valances. You can see that in the picture below… but then I decided to hang both valances on the one window to make it look a little more full–love it! I matched them with gray blackout curtains covered with white lace… so feminine and pretty

The toy bag is super cute–I haven’t seen something like this in a bedding set before. It has 4 pockets and easily ties to the side of your crib (or you can hang it somewhere else if you’d like!). It’s great for little toys, stuffed animals, pacifiers, bottles, etc.
I actually hung the diaper stacker from a hanger in the baby’s closet. We use cloth diapers and store them in the top drawer of her dresser/changing table. So I like to use the diaper stacker for other items–like onesies, jackets, etc.

I can’t wait until her entire room is finished so I can show pictures of the whole thing! Only 3 more weeks to go This 9-piece set is originally $251.99, but you can buy it at Beyond Bedding for $179.99–or check out the individual pieces.
Beyond Bedding also offers a flat shipping rate of $7.95 on all purchases, which is awesome. Show the love and make sure you find them on facebook and twitter!
