Have you heard of KOOB? It’s The Viking Game! It all started in Scandinavia and legend says the Vikings used to play it over 10,000 years ago with sticks and firewood, how cool is that? My family (and my husband’s) is Norwegian, but I had never heard of this game before so I was really excited to try it out. Our heritage is really important to us! And besides… it looked like a ton of fun
Steve’s family is a game family. They have a lakehouse where we spend many weekends in the summer and outdoor games are a must. We have the bags game…. and now we have KOOB, coming over from Europe!
There are a ton of reasons I love this game:
1. It’s for all ages… a game your kids will love AND a game you and your friends/family will love.

The goal of the game? Conquer the king! That’s the piece in the middle of the field. Each team tries to knock over the other team’s soldiers (KOOBs) and then takes aim at the king.
We tried it out, but really can’t wait for the weather to get warmer so it becomes a new favorite that we get to play all the time. It can be played with 2 to 12 players divided up into 2 teams, ages 5 and up. The official game field is 16 x 26 feet, but it can easily be played on a larger or smaller field–whatever you prefer or have room for! Set it up on any level area–grass, cement, sand, even snow! We play in the grass, but the driveway would be good, too.

For my review, I was sent the Layette Bud Ballet Flat in white. I love the girly flower on the front and the shoes are soft and flexible. The strap across the top is stretchy and sparkly–who doesn’t love some glitter?! And the shoes are made of faux-leather with a padded footbed for comfort.
I can’t wait for this baby girl to get here and see these cute little shoes on her itty bitty feet! I’m already imagining all the outfits they’ll match!
